Bundy Development Corporation Brings DC’s First Five-Star Conrad Hotel to Washington, DC.

A member of the executive development team since 2000, Bundy Development Corporation helped bring the Hilton-branded Conrad Hotel at the 10 acre CityCenter DC site.

Construction began in 2016 and the project delivered in April 2019. The hotel features banquet and meeting facilities, a full-service restaurant and bar, two terraces for outdoor dining and cocktails, and a rooftop dining facility. The 370-room hotel is managed by Hilton Worldwide with 30,680 square feet of street-oriented retail including Tiffany and Co., various fine dining options.

The hotel is the first Washington, DC hotel under the Conrad Hotel moniker from Hilton (NYSE: HLT), whose name comes from the original founder of the hotel company, Conrad Hilton. The luxury hotel fits with CityCenter DC’s upscale residences and retail offerings, and caters to the luxury business traveler.

The base building of the Conrad Washington, DC was designed by Swiss firm Herzog & de MeuronArchitekten and HKS, Inc. with landscape design prepared by  Gustafson Guthrie Nichol and D.C.-based Lee and Associates. The interior design was design and selected by Rottet Studio.

District of Columbia – Homeless Shelter

BDC provided Construction Management services for the renovations and modifications, ADA compliance, roof replacement, hazardous material testing, and fire alarm extensions and upgrades to multiple homeless shelters throughout Washington D.C.

Federal Housing Fair Agency

BDC was a JV partner and responsible for overseeing the construction for the interior build-out of 320,000SF of Class A office space at Constitution Center. The project incorporated an entry plaza, office space spanning floors 2-10, and a below grade P-1 service area.

District of Columbia Consulting Mgt (IDIQ)

BDC was awarded a construction management contract with the District of Columbia’s Department of Real Estate Services. The contract is structured as an ongoing IDIQ for up to 5 years and up to $15 million.

District of Columbia Public Schools Renovation

BDC completed a $3.2 million renovation project for the District of Columbia Public Schools. In this project, BDC managed the renovations and repairs for two D.C. Public schools- Roosevelt High and Rabaut Middle. BDC acted as General Contractor, and teamed with DAVIS Construction on this […]
